Uma Thurman to tie the knot

A representative of actress Uma Thurman has confirmed that the 38-year-old is engaged to London financier Arpad Busson.

The couple only started dating last summer but love seems to have blossomed fast between the two despite a long distance relationship.

This may be encouraging news for those thinking of starting online dating or signing up to an internet dating site.

Thurman was previously married to fellow actor Ethan Hawke with whom she has had two children and was also married to Harry Potter star Gary Oldman.

Busson has also been involved in high profile dating scenes, having had two sons with model Elle MacPherson.

A family source is reported to have said: "[The engagement is] a done deal. They're already planning their wedding."

During one of her earlier roles in star-studded Dangerous Liaisons, Thurman started dating director Phil Joanou who was hot off the production of U2's movie Rattle and Hum in 1988.
