<\/a><\/p>\nWe’ve noticed a worrying trend over the last 18 months that could potentially lead to us not being able to run so many Asian dating events. \u00a0So please take a minute to read this short blog so that you can help us.<\/p>\n
When we book venues we have to do so on a “minimum spend” basis. \u00a0This is where we are allowed to use the venue exclusively in return that our guests will spend a certain amount on drinks. \u00a0This makes it worth them opening up specially for us and closing\u00a0to\u00a0the public.<\/p>\n
However, while many of our guests do buy drinks, there are an increasing number who are just asking for free tap water. \u00a0This is incredibly annoying to the venue and frustrating for us. \u00a0The result is that some of our most popular venues have told they don’t want to have our events any longer. Obviously we don’t want that to happen.<\/p>\n
It’s just good manners to buy a drink if you are using a bar…even if it’s a soft drink.<\/p>\n
We don’t make a profit on the events as we do them as a bonus for our members. Most of the money we make is spent on staff, advertising, entertainment etc.<\/p>\n
So here’s the deal. \u00a0Tap water is fine, but please buy a drink with it!<\/p>\n
If everyone does that then the venues will all be happy and the spends will be fine. \u00a0We’ll also be able to get better venues for our parties which is great for you too :)<\/p>\n
We don’t like having to ask this as we think it should be common courtesy anyway.<\/p>\n
