I’ve\u00a0 been seeing a lovely guy for a few weeks now.\u00a0 We get on great and things are going well…but he’s just a bit too keen!\u00a0\u00a0 He texts me several times a day and gets upset if we don’t speak every evening.\u00a0 I do really like him but I can’t breathe!\u00a0\u00a0 What should I do?<\/p>\n

Thank you for your email.\u00a0\u00a0 It’s a difficult situation as you need to\u00a0 tread carefully.\u00a0 If you play harder to get then he might try even harder.\u00a0 But if you don’t then he’ll put you off and it will be too late to do anything.\u00a0 That would be a real shame if you do like each other.<\/p>\n

Some people need constant reassurance that all is going well and they are worried they might lose momentum if they don’t show they are interested.\u00a0 However,\u00a0 the adoring puppy look isn’t a sexy one.<\/p>\n

My advice is just to be honest with him.\u00a0 Tell him you really like him but he needs to back off and give you some space.\u00a0 Set boundaries and make sure he sticks to them.<\/p>\n

If he does this properly you might even find that you have the urge to contact him more.\u00a0 Absence does indeed make the heart grow fonder and you’ll miss his constant contact!<\/p>\n
